Even after a superb start to this season, Reading still struggle to attract crowds over 15,000 to the Madejski Stadium. With promotion a distinct possibility this season the club are urging the Reading public to come and see how good Reading are doing.

There have been seven steps set up which the club believe will give the players and management the best encouragement as the squad aim to achieve promotion this season. These are:

1. Spread The Word
2. Get more people interested in the club
3. Develop our fan base
4. Increase the attendances and improve the atmosphere at the stadium
5. Fill the stadium on a regular basis
6. Generate funds to develop the squad
7. Reach the Premiership!

To achieve these goals the club have launched a number of ideas including the distribution of car stickers, the sending of special offers to fans who sign up for a Member Card by email and text message, the launch of the new club shop in Market Street and asking fans to help out with giving out leaflets and flyers in the town centre.

What you can do

Make sure to sign up for a Reading FC Member Card, currently free of charge, a RFC Member Card is the only way you can be rewarded for the games you come to by receiving 'Royalty Points' These Royalty Points can then be used to purchase tickets for matches before the general public, great for when Reading draw a big team in the Cup or trying to get tickets for that decisive Play Off semi final match.

The 'Spread The Word' car stickers are available in the Reading FC ticket office and Megastore. Put them in your car and in your windows at home.

Also you can download posters for the latest Reading FC matches and offers and then put them up in your workplace or if you go to school, ask the person in charge if they don't mind putting a few up on notice boards and in doors and windows.
