The Sun has reported that Reading Manager Steve Coppell is looking to sign Leon Knight from Brighton. Knight who has reportedly had a fall out with Mark McGhee after being dropped at West Ham United on Saturday, worked under Coppell at Brighton. According to some sources Knight is looking for an exit from the Withdean and Steve Coppell is believed to be at the front of the queue to sign the former Chelsea youngster. Knight was dropped at Upton Park on Saturday to be replaced with veteran Steve Claridge and it was Claridge who assisted with the only goal of the game to give Seagulls all three points over Alan Pardew's team.
