Cole Banned!!

Joe Cole has lost his appeal against a two-match ban for offences committed while he was still a West Ham a player.

The Chelsea midfielder was charged with improper conduct as well as using abusive or insulting language towards the fourth official in a match against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium on April 19.

He was fined a total of £15,000 as well as receiving the suspension which starts immediately, meaning he will miss the games against Blackburn and Charlton.

The decision to punish Cole was controversial because it only came in December, months after the England international had left Upton Park.

Trouble flared near the end of the Bolton match after Hammers defender Ian Pearce had been dismissed for a reckless challenge on substitute Pierre-Yves Andre and players from both sides were involved in a fracas.
