Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Dave Jones has admitted to wanting more new faces at the club. The manager has already signed Carl Cort but they will need more if they are to avoid relegation from the Premiership.

He told BBC: "We need one or two fresh legs and fresh faces.

"I get on well with the chairman so at the moment I'm trying to squeeze as much cash as I can out of him.

"I have to say the board have already done brilliantly to find the money we needed to buy Carl Cort, even though £2m is a lot of money for us.

"But I had to sell Carl to the club as a player who was in is mid-20s and it's players like that who are the future here.

"You look at Carl's age and you see we've signed him as a player to help take this club where we want to go, because although we want to stay in the Premiership, we also want to keep growing as a football club.

"We sometimes get labelled as a club with old players here but if you look at what we have coming up with Matt Murray, Joleon Lescott, Lee Naylor and Mark Clyde you can see we're not as old as people make us out to be.

"We then go to Mark Kennedy who's in his mid 20s while Shaun Newton, Carl Cort and Kenny Miller are also early or mid 20s.

"So you look at it and the club is getting younger and younger and now we're looking for midfield players of a certain age."
