Bristol Rovers v Harriers Sat 23/10/04 ko 3.00pm
News round up
Despite there being no mid week fixture theres plenty of news come out of Aggboro this week. It was announced that midfield/striker Simon Brown could have played his final game for Harriers after a suspected broken leg which he sustained in the win over Scunny. It turns out the injury is not as bad a first feared and he could only be out for a few weeks. Whether his loan will be extended remains to be seen. Also on the injury front, Rueben Hazell underwent surgery on his knee this week, reports say the op was a success.
Harriers will still be 2nd from bottom for the trip to Rovers but with a game in hand over most teams, including the new kids at the bottom, Shrewsbury Town. The Shrews drew 1-1 with Grimsby and remain bottom and today their manager, Jimmy Quinn resigned. The Shrews are our next home opponents, visiting a week on Saturday. Whilst we are in Shropshire, news of a former Kidderman, keeper Stuart Brock. The former Kidder keeper has joined Hull City on loan from AFC Telford to cover for injuries.
Man U @ Aggboro
The official site http://www.harriers.co.uk reported this week that West Brom will again be using Aggboro for some of their reserve games. On Monday November 1st, Aggboro will stage the game between Albions reserves and Man Utds reserves. This could be a big attendance as it provides a rare opportunity for armchair United fans to get a glimpse of the Red Devils. Unless you've got a season ticket or in the know, you aint got much chance of seeing the real Utd in the flesh. So maybe a few fringe players will get afew along to Aggboro.
New signing for Rovers game
Harriers today signed young Portsmouth striker James Keene in kind of a loan deal. Basically he joins on work experience which means Harriers havent used up another loan. According to reports, he is a prolific scorer at youth level and has made Pompeys reserve team. He is currently a 3rd year scholar at Fratton Park and links up with fellow Pompey man, Shaun Cooper.
