Kidderminster Harriers moved off the bottom of the Coca Cola League 2 today. Harriers won a five goal thriller thanks to a injury time winner from Kelvin Langmead.

Harriers 3 (Foster 2, Langmead) Scunny 2 (Torpey, Hayes) HT 1-1

Harriers made a few changes to their starting line up against 2nd in the table Scunthorpe at Aggborough today. Steve Burton was ruled out with injury, so Shaun Cooper moved to left back with Lee Jenkins dropping to right back. Freddy Advice returned to the middle and Abdou Sall returned to defence after suspension. With the departure of Richie Appleby yesterday, Jesper Christiansen played in midfield and went on to enjoy possibly his best game in a Harriers shirt.

Scunthorpe came out on top in the early exchanges with Harriers having to do their best to stop the high flyers. The Iron took the lead through Steve Torpey who converted from close range following a corner. At this stage it didnt look good for Kidder but they managed an equaliser through Ian Foster. Kelvin Langmead did well to hold on to the ball in the area and he fed Fozzie whose shot was wickedly deflected past Musselwhite in the Scunny goal. Both sides attacked but there was no further score in the 1st half.

Scunthorpe came out all guns blazing in the 2nd period and proved their dominance when Hayes restored their lead, another close range finsh after Harriers defence failed to clear. Once again any form of result seemed unlikely as Freddy Advice was replaced by Steve Mc Mahon. Harriers again drew level with Ian Foster 2nd of the campaign, with a neat close range finish from Simon Brown's cross. This was Browners final contribution as he hobbled off to be replaced by Simon Russell.

The game remained open with perhaps Scunthorpe enjoying more possesion and Danby forced into some saves. Harriers could have taken the lead when Ian Foster broke clear in the area but he chose to square it eluded Langmead and Russell. Scunthorpe were also indepted to keeper Musselwhite when he kept out a diving header from Langmead. As the game went into injury time, it was Harriers who managed a late goal and in turn a winner. Kelvin Langmead was sent through and he managed to muscle out his opponent and fire the winner across Musselwhite for Harriers claim an unlikely win.
