BELOW ARE LISTED PLAYERS FOR SEASON 2OO4/5.

HARRIERS SQUAD 2004/5 (squad numbers shown in brackets)

PERMAMANENT PLAYERS

KEEPERS

John Danby (15)  Joined the Harriers youth team from WBA and eventually progressed to number two keeper under former custodian Stuart Brock. After, what could only be described as the “DVT” years, on the bench, with only 2 sub appearances Danby finally got his chance towards the end of 2003/4 season. Danby kept a clean sheet on his full debut at Scunthorpe and impressed to such an extent that Brock was released and Danby is now Kidders number one. On current form, one of the lower leagues best young keepers.

Daniel Lewis (1) Young keeper who joined Harriers from non league Studley during summer 2004. Was attracting interest from a number of clubs, including West Brom.

THE DEFENCE

Lee Jenkins (2) The former Welsh U21 player joined Harriers during the 2003/4 season from Swansea, where he played under Kidder boss Jan Molby. Equally at home in defence or midfield, will be looking for an injury free run having missed a large chunk of last season with a knee injury.

Steve Burton(3) Steve is now enjoying his 3rd spell at Harriers, all in less than 12 months! Originally had a loan spell with Kidder in Autumn/winter 2003 before returning to Hull City. Rejoined Harriers towards the end of 2003/4 after his release from Hull City and then signing permanently during summer 2004.

Rueben Hazell (4) The former Villa and Tranmere stopper signed for Harriers during the summer of 2004, having turned down the chance to remain at Torquay. Was part of the Gulls promotion winning squad of 2003/4 but preferred a move back to his Midlands roots. A knee injury has delayed his Kidder debut.

Abdou Sall (5) The giant Senegalese defender is another who has made a return to Aggborough. Originally signed by Jan in 2001, Sall went on to make quite an impression before leaving 12 months later. After short loan and trial spells at Rushden, Oxford and Nuneaton, Sall returned in February 2004 on non contract terms before signing permanently again in the summer.

Chris Mc Hale (17) A product of Harriers youth team, Mc Hale made his debut on the final day of 2003/4 against Boston as a sub. His full debut was on the opening day of 2004/5 at Rushden. The youngster, who signed a 2 year deal in the summer, can play at centre half or full back.

Wayne Hatswell (22) Wayne was former boss Ian Brittons final signing, with Hats making his debut in Britt’s final game at Swansea in October 2003. Quickly appointed captain by Jan Molby, the former Oxford man swept the board honours wise at the end of 2003/4 winning the supporters player of the year, amongst others. Hats joined Harriers from Chester City and enjoyed spells at Oxford and Forest Green Rovers amongst others.

THE MIDDLEMEN

Frederic Advice Desruisseaux(6)  Or more commonly known as Freddy, joined Harriers in the summer of 2004 from Lille.

Micky Mellon (8) Signed for Harriers after trial spell during pre season 2004/5 following his departure from Tranmere Rovers. Vastly experienced player who has seen service at West Bromwich Albion and Blackpool, amongst others.

Dean Keates (11) Former Walsall man Dean Keates signed for Harriers in February 2003 after falling out of favour at Hull City. The tenacious midfield battler had been brought to Hull by Harriers boss Jan Molby from his only other club Walsall.

Jamie Gleeson (18) Joined Harriers after a trial spell during summer 2004 after his release from Southampton. Played reserve football whilst at St Mary’s but failed to make the first team.

Simon Russell (19) Another youngster to join Harriers in summer 2004 after a trial period. Simon was formerly with Hull City before his release in May 2004.

THE FORWARD LINE

Iyseden Christie(9) Christie signed a 2 year deal at Aggborough in August 2004 following his release from Mansfield Town. A proven marksman at League 2 level, Icy has also played for Orient, having started his career at Coventry City. A long term foot injury delayed his Harriers debut.

Yossou Diop (10) The flamboyant French striker linked up with Kidder during pre season 2004/5 from Toulouse and signed a contract following a successful trial.

Jesper Christiansen (12) The powerfully built Dane signed for Harriers in January 2004 and made his debut in the FA Cup tie against Wolves. Has a good touch and distribution skills but has failed to find the net thus far at Kidder. Joined from Odense.

Ian Foster (16) Once again, another player who returned after spells away from Kidder. Originally signed in 1999 and was top scorer for Harriers in their promotion winning season. Left Harriers at the end of 2002/3 after being released by former boss, Ian Britton and then signed for Chester City. Returned in February 2003, on loan from Chester and then signed permanently again in the summer of 2004.

Scott Rickards (20) Harriers signed the former Derby trainee from Tamworth in December 2003. Has yet to nail down a regular place and went on loan to Redditch at the start of the 2004/5 season.

THE LOAN MEN

Simon Brown (7) (striker) Browner originally enjoyed a loan spell at Kidder at the end of season 2003/4 and made a good impression on the Harriers fans. Returned for a 2nd spell at the start of 2004/5 from parent club, West Bromwich Albion.

Adrian Viveash (21) (defender) Another player to enjoy 2 loan spells with Harriers. The former Walsall defender had 2 month loans, one in March 2004 and the other at the start of the 2004-5 season. Has since returned to Swindon Town.

Steve Mc Mahon (25) (midfield) The son of the former Liverpool midfielder of the same name joined Harriers on loan from Blackpool in September 2004.

THE DEPARTED

Richie Appleby (14) Yet another player who returned to the club after a spell elsewhere. Apples originally signed for Kidder during 2001/2 from Swansea City and went on to enjoy a successful yet short spell. At the end of that season, Richie followed Molby to Hull City on a 2 year contract. Unfortunately, Richie suffered serious injury problems whilst at Hull and his contract was eventually terminated. He returned to Harriers during the summer of 2004 in a bid to regain his fitness on a non contract basis. On his day, one of League Two’s most gifted midfielders. Richie left to join Forest Green in October 2004.
