Staff List

THE BOARD

Chairman: Colin Youngjohns Colin took over as Chairman, or in his words “was thrown the keys to the shop” in March 2002, following the resignation of Lionel Newton. Colin works within the Carpet industry and has been a board member at Aggborough since the 1970’s. Despite being a bit of a low profile Chairman, Colin enjoys a vast knowledge of the game and has been instrumental in most important decisions during his time at Kidderminster.

Vice Chairman: Barry Norgrove Local property developer Barry joined the board of directors in September 2001. He was appointed Vice Chairman in the wake of Lionel Newton’s departure. Was heavily involved in the construction of the new “Jono Smith Stand.

.

Company Secretary: Richard Painter Richard is another long serving board member and is a local Solicitor.

Directors: John Baldwin John recently joined the board. Best remembered as the Manager and joint owner of old Conference rivals, Hednesford Town. John is an accountant by trade.

Steve Hodge Steve joined the board in January 2004 with a view to improving the corporate side of the club and increase the fan base.Steve is the managing director of a local Chemical company.

THE FOOTBALL SIDE

Director of Football: Jan Molby Jan rejoined Harriers in October 2003 in the wake of Ian Britton’s departure. Of course this is Jan’s second spell with Kiddy. In his first spell he guided Harriers into the football league in his first season, 1999/2000. He then moulded Harriers into a League team, finishing a safe 16th in 2000/2001, Harriers debut League season. In 2001/2 Harriers had started to challenge for a play off spot until Jan decided to up sticks and join Hull City. At the time this enraged the Kidder faithful, including myself. However it was a traumatic time, with then Chairman and main benefactor Lionel Newton had decided to leave the Board.

Jan’s time at Hull was not very successful and only lasted around 6 months. Ironically his last game in charge came at Aggborough, a 1-0 defeat spelt the end of the road at Hull for Jan. The former Danish International and Liverpool star then spent a year out of the game until his shock return to Harriers in October 2003.

Prior to his time at Kidderminster Jan enjoyed a very fruitful playing career. Born in Kolding, Denmark, his first major club was Ajax. He then moved on to Liverpool, where he enjoyed much success. He left Anfield in 1995 and soon was appointed player/manager of Swansea City. He took the Swans to the 3rd Division play off final, only to lose to Northampton. Jan was sacked as Swans chief following a change in ownership at the Vetch. After a short spell out of the game, he then linked up for his 1st spell at Kidder.

Assistant Manager: Gary Barnett Gary, like Jan rejoined Harriers in October 2003, after he had followed Jan to Hull. Gary enjoyed a varied career in the Football League, playing for such clubs as Coventry and Oxford, to name but two. Stratford born Gary was Manager of League of Wales side, Barry, prior to his 1st spell at Kidder. Whilst at Barry, he lead them to a hat trick of league titles and was many fans choice to replace Molby when he left but he instead chose to follow Jan to Hull.

Physio: Jimmy Conway Jimmy has been at Aggborough for many years, working under many managers. Jimmy was at Harriers when they won promotion to the Conference in 1983, under then boss, John Chambers. Jimmy left the club when Chambers was sacked in October 1983, only to return under new boss, Graham Allner, a few years later. Under Allner, Jimmy did serve the club as Assistant Manager and did have a short spell as caretaker manager when Allner left. Jimmy is an experienced Physio, who is also Physio to the England National Game Squad.

Some say that Jimmy is Mr Kidderminster Harriers, and I for one would not dispute that. He is certainly a character and I have many fond memories of his rapid movement from the bench to celebrate goals over the years. Nowadays, Jimmy is also the Clubs General Manager.

Youth Team Manager: Shaun Cunnington Shaun recently took over the post from John Deakin. Shaun is an experienced former player who had considerable league experience at such clubs as Sunderland and West Brom to name but two. He enjoyed a 2 year spell at Aggborough as a player, between 1998 and 2000.

Kit Manager: Darren Rodgers Apparently, if the story is true, longtime Kidder fan Darren was offered the job after watching many Harriers training sessions (as well as matches). I hope this story is true, great when such a thing happens to a fan. Darren is responsible for all of the Harriers kits, and from what we see, is doing a grand job.

Fitness Coach: Bob Ashwood Bob has many years experience within Athletics and has been responsible for many gruelling pre season sessions.

Medical Officer: Dr VP Schrieber Local GP who assists Harriers.
