Diego Forlan’s agent, Daniel Bolotnicoff has made it clear that his client will be staying at Old Trafford, despite speculation linking him to Spanish club Seville.

"Diego is very happy at Manchester United," said Bolotnicoff.

"No offer has been made for Forlan and he does not want to leave Manchester United in any case. He wants to see out his contract with the club and feels very well there,”

"Diego is prepared to be patient and wait for his first-team opportunities,”

"He knew that when he signed for United he would face stiff competition from some great players.

"But he is training hard and is improving all the time. He has been treated very well by the club and gets on well with his teammates.

"And Diego is ready to fight for his chance and hopes to be an important part of the team next season when he expects to play more."

24-year-old Forlan has made 63 appearances for United, since joining from Argentine giants Independiente in January 2002.

The Uruguayan, who featured in the recent World Cup in Japan and Korean, has developed cult status amongst the Old Trafford faithful, many of whom want to see him involved in more first team action.

Forlan did though have  a disappointing start to his career at Old Trafford, going an incredible 9 months without a goal!

Since his first goal against Maccabi Haifa, Diego's confidence has taken a massive boost and he has now found the net 9 times as a United player. His most memorable moment at United must surely be his quick-fire brace against arch rivals Liverpool at Anfield to give United a vital three points.
