United still sit second in the Premier League table although they are now 8 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City. United are level on points with Spurs and only one ahead of Chelsea who deservedly beat the Red Devils at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. United's defeat came after three consecutive wins in three different competitions. United beat Spurs in the league, Benfica in the champions league and Swansea in the league cup. So as the next international break arrives Jose's team can take stock of the situation and look forward to 11 games in the run up to Christmas. It is going to be a very busy time for all connected with the club.

Some of the stand out fixtures to looke forward to include the Manchester derby on 10th December at Old Trafford. A visit to Arsenal on 2nd December and a league cup quarter final tie at Ashton Gate (the home of Bristol City) on 20th December. The action restarts with the visit of Newcastle United on 18th November at 5.30pm
