Former Manchester United stopper Ben Amos has moved to Cardiff City on a season-long loan deal.

Amos has fallen out of favour at Bolton, following his cross-Lancashire switch from United in 2015, and has only featured in a 4-2 League Cup defeat to Blackpool this season.

The 26-year-old moves to the Cardiff City Stadium amid speculation about the Bluebirds’ first-choice stopper, David Marshall, who is reportedly the subject of interest from Premier League outfit Hull City.

Amos made seven appearances for Manchester United, one of which was in the Premier League. He has also spent loan spells at Peterborough, Oldham, Hull and Carlisle.
