Sir Alex Ferguson
The United boss reserved particular praise for United’s back four as the Red Devils claimed a crucial win.
"I felt eventually we were the better side," said the Scotsman.
"Credit to the players at the back who did a great job.
"We rode our luck a bit but on the counter attack I thought we could have scored more goals."
Ferguson was full of praise for United winger Valencia, who broke the deadlock before half-time and played a crucial role in Welbeck’s winner.
He added: "In the last few weeks he's really come into his game, he's got over the bad injury he had last season and he's getting better all the time."
