Manchester United crush Arsenal at The Emirates.
By Roger O'Brien

It was the second "massive" game in five days and it was the same result 3-1! After seeing off Manchester City in midweek, United travelled to North London to carry on their pursuit of league leaders Chelsea. Sir Alex Ferguson made changes to face Arsenal, but nothing was more surprising and pleasing than the continued improvement of Nani who had another exceptional game.

Goals from the aforementioned Nani after some exceptional skill on the right wing and in the penalty area; Wayne Rooney on a superb pitch long break and then JS Park in the second half put United in complete control. The Gunners were welll beaten before a late revival spurred on after a goal from Vermaelen with ten minutes left.

Over 60,000 were inside the ground to witness a very impressive display by United. who were lead by the impressive Wayne Rooney, who goes from strength to strength. Nani has at long last found his true form and is relishing a run in the side.

With Rio starting a four match ban the defence was made up of Wes Brown, Johnny Evans, Rafael and Patrice Evra. All four coped well with the Arsenal attack. The gunners failed to capitalise on early chances and were struck by superb finishing from United at the other end of the pitch.

Fletcher and Carrick were very strong and comfortable in the midfield; JS Park and veteran Paul Scholes played well before being replaced by Valencia & Ryan Giggs respectively.

As Arsenal pushed forward United could have scored more to add to their three but failed to hit the target as the game drew to a close.

An excellent result and a great performance. The travelling red, white green and gold army were in good voice throughout the match.

The next fixture is a home match against Portsmouth on Saturday with a traditional 3.00pm kick off.

Thanks.

Arsenal's team will get better as they get stronger and wiser...

But if you could beat Chelsea it would be marvellous too!
