Game on! On-form Brum host United
By Chris,
January 9 2010
Birmingham City will set a new Premier League record if they enter Saturday's home game with Manchester United unchanged. The Midlands outfit could field the same starting XI for the ninth league game in a row as the Red Devils return to action after last weekend's shock Cup defeat at home to rivals Leeds.

Despitethe freezing conditions, the game is on and will be broadcast live on ESPN witha 5.35pm kick-off.

Sir AlexFerguson will be desperate to bounce back to winning ways after last weekend'sdefeat to the League One leaders, but Brum will provide a stern test.

TheUnited boss is expected to welcome back some big names after last weekend'shorror show. However, Nemanja Vidic will be out with a reported tweaked nerve, while Rio Ferdinand, Owen Hargreaves, John O'Shea and Edwin van der Sar areother absentees.

AlexMcLeish's men are on a tremendous run of form and currently sit eighth in thePremier League table. Though they were fortunate to draw in the Cup at Forest last week, the Blues are on anincredible unbeaten run spanning twelve matches.

United'strip to St. Andrewsis one of only two Premier League games to beat the weather in the top-flighton Saturday. Arsenal's home encounter with Everton is also all systems go!

Prediction– United Away Win
The RedDevils face a tough ask against a Brum side that has performed brilliantly allseason. However, the players will be chomping at the bit to bounce back fromthe F.A Cup debacle after the Eastland's postponement. United are capable ofending Birmingham's fine run, and an early goal would settle any lingering nerves.
