Reports continue to question Vidic's United future
By Chris,
January 5 2010
Intense speculation continues to link Nemanja Vidic away from Old Trafford. Reports persist that the towering centre-back is unsettled in the North West and favours a move to La Liga.

Rumours have linked Vidic with the likes of Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The £30-million rated centre-back has played a crucial role in United's recent success - but reports about his future have been scattered across the press for many months.

Goal.com now reports that Vidic is set to hold talks with club officials regarding his future at Old Trafford.

Vidic joined the club in January 2006 when the defender made a £7million switch from Spartak Moscow. He has since notched up 169 appearances and is regarded as one of the continent's best defenders.

They say theres no smoke without fire, and theres a lot of smoke surrounding this topic at the moment.

It would be a MASSIVE blow to us to lose him, he truly is world class, but its starting to look increasingly like we might.

If its true and he wants to leave, then sell him. We got him for £7 million and if we get £25 million then thats a good deal. I think we maybe seeing a lot players starting to pass through our doors now. Financially i think we are truly @#$%&. One big sale per season now just to pay the interest on our debts - not even clear the debts.
