Tosic's goal settled it
United retained the Manchester Senior Cup on Tuesday evening with a 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers. Zoran Tosic bagged the only goal of the game in the first-half at the Reebok Stadium as the Red Devils put their name on the trophy for the 24th time. It's the reserves' final game of the season.
United's line-up boasted more experience that the Bolton XI with the likes of Federico Macheda, Danny Wellbeck and Rodrigo Possebon all involved.
However, the Trotters made United work hard for the win but a deflected free-kick from Tosic was ultimately enough to seal the win. The Serbian's eighth-minute strike left Adam Bogdan wrong-footed.
One goal proved enough for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men and United's second-string celebrated more silverware success at a sparsely populated Reebok Stadium.
Congratulations Reds.
