Hewson to Hereford

Manchester United midfielder Sam Hewson has signed for Hereford United on loan in a three-month deal. The 20-year-old will hope to prove his worth at Edgar Street and lead the Bulls away from the League One drop-zone. They currently sit six points from safety at the mid-way point of the season.

Hewson is confident that he can prove himself with Hereford: "This my first time out on loan from Manchester United, I nearly got out last season but this is my first one and I'm really looking forward to it.

"I've come down for some experience and to show that I'm good enough that I can play league football."

The youngster is yet to register a first-team appearance with United, so will get his first taste of senior football with the Herefordshire club.
