7,000 Reds head to Ewood for Lancashire derby

Blackburn away
By Chris, October 3 2008
Manchester United face another Lancashire derby on Saturday as they travel to Ewood Park for an early evening kick-off. Wayne Rooney is a doubt for the Reds with ankle ligament damage; whilst Paul Scholes misses the first of a long spell of matches following his injury in Denmark. The game will see Paul Ince, ex-Red, take on his former club in a managerial capacity for the first time.

Scholes joins Owen Hargreaves and Michael Carrick on the sidelines - with Rooney also rated as highly doubtful.

Blackburn have their own injury problems with goalkeeper Paul Robinson struggling with a calf problem. Vince Grella and Benni McCarthy may also miss out.

7,000 United fans will journey to Ewood Park with the game being broadcast live on Setanta Sports. With the Scousers and Chelsea both facing difficult games on Sunday, the Red Devils will be desperate for a win to underline their title credentials and to leap into the top-half of the table.

My mate went over. The United fans were phenomonal.. by far outsinging the home fans from the very begining

I particularly liked 'Charlie, whats the score? Charlie, Charlie whats the score?'

Keano wouldnt get stick from us, nor Brucey or Robbo as an opposing manager but Ince? Never liked him after he played for Liverpooh.. couldnt stand him after that

Totally agree. Always hated him after he moved to Anfield.
Then told the press he was desperate for anyone but United to win the league "for a change"....
