By Chris, September 2 2008 Louis Saha completed his move to Everton on deadline day. The injury‐prone United striker agreed to a move earlier in the week but the deal was not concluded until September 1st with the Frenchman completing a medical and penning a deal on Monday afternoon. A series of knee and hamstring problems hampered the striker´s progress at Old Trafford.
Saha has signed a two‐year deal at Goodison Park with the option for another twelve months.
With the deal secured, David Moyes repeated a phrase said many times by United fans over the past two seasons: "There is no doubt he is a fantastically talented player, the question
now is can we get him fit and we are hoping we can do that."
Saha, a £12.8million
signing in January 2004, has netted 28 league goals for the club in 86
appearances. The fee which Everton have paid for his services is
undisclosed but thought to be in the region of £4million.
