Champions League Dates

The dates for United’s European Cup fixtures have now been confirmed following this evening’s draw. The Red Devils will kick-off the defence of their Champions League crown at home to Villarreal, before travelling to Denmark to face unseeded Aalborg. Scottish champions Celtic visit Old Trafford on 21st October, with the return game on Bonfire Night.

The dates for United's six group games are as follows:

17th September: Villarreal: HOME
30th September: Aalborg: AWAY
21st October: Glasgow Celtic: HOME
5th November: Glasgow Celtic: AWAY
25th November - Villarreal: AWAY
10th December - Aalborg: HOME

As usual, the two groups qualify for the second round with the third placed club earning conciliatory spot in the Uefa Cup.
