With Portuguese FA chairman Gilberto Madail eager to appoint Scolari's successor by mid-July, Queiroz's words offer a fair indication that he expects to stay on as United's assistant manager for the foreseeable future.
However, he refused to offer any concrete answers to his future and is still regarded as one of the favourites for the job alongside ex-Brazil legend Zico.
Queiroz, currently enjoying his second spell as Fergie's assistant, plays an active role in life at Old Trafford and regularly conducts television interviews after Sir Alex's fall-out with the BBC.
