Big Future?
Evra unsure on United future
Patrice Evra is not sure where his future lies. The Frenchman has had an impressive season and the summer departure of Gabriel Heinze secured him a regular first-team spot. However, Evra is making no assurances about where he'll be playing his football in a couple of years time.
"I love the club," he insisted. "But as for the future, you never know. I could leave next year, or in two years. Everyone's asking me questions because I have not yet extended my deal but I have an agent to deal with that."
Nani wants Queiroz stay
Meanwhile, United winger Nani has praised boss Carlos Queiroz amid speculation that Reds assistant could be set to leave the club to take the vacant hotseat at Benfica.
“It would be very sad if Carlos Queiroz left Manchester United to go away to another club,” said the 21-year-old, after reports in the Portuguese press suggested that Queiroz was in talks with Benfica.
Campbell coming back to United
Sir Alex Ferguson has made it clear that Hull City have no chance of signing striker Fraizer Campbell on a permanent basis.
The United form has been on superb form this season for Tigers - spearheading their attack as the Humberside club continue to stun the pundits and sustain a realistic promotion charge for a place in the Premier League.
“He is gaining valuable experience, but Fraizer will be coming back,” said Ferguson.
SAF eyeing up Stamford Bridge clash
Fergie certainly isn't counting his chickens when it comes to the title race. United lead London rivals Chelsea by five points and are six points ahead of wobbling Arsenal, but the Scotsman knows that the Reds have plenty to do.
“We have a nice cushion but there are some very difficult games to come — so no one can say we are certain to win the title," he said. "The match at Stamford Bridge will be a big factor in determining who wins the title."
Butch surprised at Beckham start
And finally - former United star Ray Wilkins has spoke out in surprise after David Beckham inclusion amongst England's starting XI for the friendly in France.
"I'm surprised David Beckham's starting the game." said Wilko. "100 caps is an amazing achievement but considering David Bentley's form at Blackburn, I thought he'd have to settle for a spot on the bench."
England kick-off in Paris at 7.45pm.
