Vauxhall Feel the Blues

Vauxhall wanted to over turn the 4-0 loss to a full strength Tranmere team that included new signing Calvin Zola from Newcastle United.
Just five Vauxhall players played apart of last years pre-season, captain Robbie Lawton, powerful attacker Peter Cumiskey, long serving midfielder Carl Nesbitt, Usually reliable wing back Wayne McDermott and young powerhouse Alan Griffiths.
Although Mike Tomlison was at the club was injured for the pre-season friendlies. Ex-Motors hardman Kevin Lynch was part of the bumper crowd inside Rivacre Park last night to watch his former team mates against the club he scored against just five nights before for his new club Southport.

Vauxhall fell behind after 20 minutes as young startlet Paul Hopkins beat Mike Tomlinson before linning up his shot, but to Alan Griffiths confusion the Everton striker dummied it again to strike past Dittmar with his left foot.
