Norman's G-Owen

Owen Brown has started to shake-up Vauxhall Motors by releasing Alvin McDonald's last signing for the club John Norman, and his own first signing Brian McIlroy. Brown has brought in Hugh McAuley and Paul Robertson to add to on loan shot stopper Matt Higgins.

ex-Liverpool winger Brian McIlroy,21, managed just one appearance as a sub against Runcorn before being released earlier this week. Owen knows Brian from the Liverpool U-19's squad

John Norman was Morecambe's top scorer on two occassions, he was brought in towards the end of August and made his debut in the 6-2 victory over Bradford Park Avenue, which feels a long time ago to all Motors fans. 16 apperances and three managers later ex-Burscough FA Trophy winner was made surplus to requirements by new manager Owen Brown.

Hugh McAuley was signed from Alvin McDonald's Northwich. Hugh signed for Alvin McDonald only in October now finds himself at Rivacre Park.

Manchester born Paul Robertson has experience with a host of League and top Non-League clubs including York City, Stocport County, Bury, Runcorn, Doncaster Rovers, Accrington Stanley, Barrow, Droylsden, Altrincham, Hyde United and Leigh RMI. Paul, 31, has already won this league as he was part of the Altrincham squad who clinched the UniBond League in 1999.

VauxhallMotors.tk wish John and Brian all the best in the future, and thank them for their services while their short time at Rivacre Park.
