Fab Fearns Bags Five

Terry Fearns took his goal tally to eight for this WEEK. Vauxhall made the trip to Croft Park hoping to get back to winning ways, Blyth won their first three games this season, but this was their fourth consecutive defeat.

Fearns opened the scoring on five minutes having headed home Nicky Young's cross from the right. Spartans star Leeson equalised just three minutes later.

Fearns struck again after slack Spartans defending let "Fab Fearns" in for his and Motors' second of the day. Once again the home side fought back this time McAlinden was on the score sheet.

But Fearns showed his class by stepping up a gear and pouncing again to claim a first half hat-trick and gave vauxhall their THIRD lead of the afternoon. This goal doubled Terry's tally this season to go with the hat-trick at home To BPA a week earlier.

Half Time: Blyth Spartans 2-3 Vauxhall Motors

Blyth made sure Vauxhall new their three points weren't safe yet Fenton's shot coming back off the woodwork, Graham also found a shooting position, but to the same outcome.

Keeper Turns couldn't keep Motors out much longer and when "Wacker" lived up to his name guess who pounced on the rebounded shot...

Cumiskey and Fearns foiled Spartans offside trap and "Wacker" gave Fearns the ball to grab his FIFTH of the game, that feat made more impressive by the fact they were all from open play, This was Motors' 13th of the week and Fearns' eighth. A corner led to Laws grabbing a third for Blyth.

Sub Lee Kissock played a clever ball to the ever influential Kevin Lynch who struck the sixith.
