Southport

Halifax Town once again keep a clean sheet at Haig Avenue. Southport were unable to put the ball in the net early off a poor back pass by Danny Ingram. The match saw little action until the 20 minute mark as Halifax came alive. Martin Foster put a shot in as Southport were unable to clear out a corner kick. Two minutes latter Jake Wright put in a perfect cross from the left side as Martin Forest headed it home for his second goal of the day. Then all was lost for Southport as Karl Baker was sent off.
