Rushden & Diamonds dash the hopes of Halifax Town as the match goes to penalty kicks. Rushden & Diamonds score 5 penalties to Halifax Towns 4
Once again the Shaymen seem to have the better part of the match but could not put in a key penalty kick. As the match came to a close Rushden & Diamonds shot on goal was cleared over the bar by Denny Ingram.
In extra time Halifax Town came close but cooled off as Steven Haslam is sent off for his second yellow forcing the Shaymen to defend.
It looked as if Halifax Town would win on penalty kicks as the had a 4 to 3 lead. However the penatly kick that would have given Halifax Town the win was saved by Rushden & Diamonds keeper Jami Young who parried Denny Ighams shot.
