Neil Harris is delighted to have completed his Reds move and upon arriving at The City Ground he managed to find the time to speak to the media on what he plans for the future and what he feels he can achieve with a struggling reds outfit.
"I just knew this was the right move for me. I didn't give it a second-thought when Mick Harford asked me if I would consider coming here. I wouldn't have joined Forest if I didn't think they could get themselves out of trouble.
I've no doubts they will and I'm looking forward to helping them climb the table."
...and's not just Harris himself who is delighted that he has made the switch. Acting manager Mick Harford has declared himself delighted with the transfer and has made it clear that he is a big Harris fan.
Harford told NottinghamForest.co.uk: "It's not that long ago that people were talking about him leaving Millwall for more than a £1million. It represents a real coup from our point of view to have got him out for a relatively small sum.
"He had a well-documented problem with testicular cancer but has come through that which just shows what a determined character he is.
"I'm so delighted to have him here. He seems like a cracking lad, his goal-scoring record speaks for itself and I've no doubt he will prove to be an excellent addition to our squad."
Harris has so far scored 99 career goals abd wil be looking to make it 100 when he almost certainly makes his debut when we face West Ham United at Upton Park on boxing day. Achieving this goal is very important to the player, even more than most; Harris waged a successful battle against testicular cancer just a few seasons back.
