| Des Walker has told the Nottingham Evening Post that he will not be making a Forest comeback next season. The veteran defender announced his retirement at the end of last season, but there was a bit of speculation after seeing him come on as a substitute in Forest's game against the Uni. of Richmond.
""Was it only 15 minutes," he said, "I could have sworn it was half-an-hour. It seemed that way anyway." It would have been good to see Des playing in the garibaldi once again. He's always a pleasure to watch and a Nottingham Forest legend. However, I suppose that 'Big Des' wanted to retire while he was still a decent player and be remembered for the good times rather than the bad.
