Fresh and Low Great Scottish Run (10K run)
By Chris Mac July 31 2006
Some people will shed blood sweat and tears for their football club over a season, well the Airdrie United Supporters Trust are asking you to do all that and run 10K on behalf of the club.

On September 3rd 2006 the Fresh and Low, Great Scottish Run takes place and we are looking for YOU to volunteer and take part in the race on behalf of the club.

Unfortunately, we do not have a lot of time to get this up and running. An application form is being designed just now and sponsor forms will be given out to those who wish to take part but it’s not that easy, all applications have to be in along with entry fee by the 18th of August.

Entry is £20 per person. The supporters Trust will pay your entry fee for you and register the full team at the same time, but in doing this we will expect you to raise £100 minimum in sponsorship money, we will hold you to this agreement.

We understand it is a massive commitment but we think it will give us a great sense of achievement if we can pull it off. Imagine forty or fifty Airdrie fans running through Glasgow and not being chased. That would be a success in it’s self.

As registrations, come in we will set up a page on the Stomp recognising the fans who are taking part. If we receive enough entrants, we will run a free return bus to the event.

Therefore, are you up for the challenge, if you are then get the ball rolling by downloading an application form:- www.runglasgow.org/senior/online/online.html.

Once the application form is returned to us, we will then send out Sponsor forms. To compete as the Supporters Trust team you must return the completed application form to us and they will be submitted as a group entry.

Before anyone asks, yes I think I will be doing this myself even if it is a jog run, jog hobble type scenario!
