Clan Chief

A close range header from the Prince of goals and a peach from the 10 of Diamonds was enough to inflict a defeat on the Doonhamers at the forth time of asking. Queens have been a thorn in our flesh since the opening day of the season so it was sweet, to at last get a victory over them and all more pleasing as we moved above them into a very respectable fifth position in the league just four points off second placed Clyde who we play on new years day.

To end the year in the position we are now in is quite incredible considering the horrendous injury problems we have had since the start of the season and I cant help feeling that if we had a fully fit squad at the beginning of the campaign we would be even better placed than we are now.

Its been pleasing to have a look at our rivals supporters websites as it seems that most of them reckon that Falkirk apart we have been the most impressive footballing side to watch. I have always been of the opinion that we are good to watch but we were not getting the rewards that our play deserved but all that seems to have changed now and we are now starting to show our true potential.

So another year over and a new one about to begin, let’s hope it’s a good one without any fear. Bring on the Bully Wee.

On a personal note, I’m in a bit of a quandary. My wife has instructed me that I will not be attending the N’erdy match at Broadwood and she couldn’t give two hoots that I haven’t missed a match all season .she has arranged for us to go to her parents for our New Year dinner and if I don’t go with her, we’re finished. She has left me with no option.

I’m gonna have to go to the game.
