It's difficult not be negative ahead of today's game, well any game at the moment I suppose so we will let the facts and figures do the work for us. Today will be the fourth meeting of the teams in the first Airdrie won 2-1 thanks to two goals from Adam Brown, Stennie through Mark Gilhaney. In the second match honours were shared in a 2-2 draw Colin McMenamin and Fraser Kerr were the scorers for Stennie and Iain Russell and Adam Brown scored for the Diamonds. That brings us to the final encounter and the match that should have got our current management team sacked Airdrie 0 - 5 Stenhousemuir Willis Furtado opened the scoring David Marsh got two, Alan Cook got one and then Carlos Mazana-Matrinez ended our embarrissment.

Good result today well done to the team, didn't go so Sods, law we go and win ,under 600 there so a wee bit down, has Andy Ryan been upsetting some one as he was dropped to bench.chances we had the day he would have had a double at least going by stats anyway.Good thing about playoffs we have the teams around still to play so you never know,we have a habit of doing things the hard way.Aye think I will go to Livy next week great what a win does for a sat night🍺🍺🍺🍻

Ryan failed a fitness test for starting the game. It was much better then Brechin in that we had a 3-5-2 with some serious defending done by everybody. Close and not much excitement in first half but we were the much better side in the 2nd half and deserved to win. Scored from a good corner which the goalie saved but it fell to Russell. He was playing up front on his own but Leitch and Brown did support him. Could have been more but for several good saves and some amazing passing up on chances by poor shooting( Hutton can't have scored a goal in his career but he did have a good game). Brown goy MOM but not many around me agreed. he even tackled late on and got a genuine round of applause. Stenny lacked a cutting edge and McMenamim offered little. Their guy Marsh was sent off for kicking Russell after fouling him. Great 3 points for 42 so not far away from safety! Other results went our way but top four? Will also go to Livvy. Enjoy tonight.

A clean sheet, first in 16 games, an improvement, but still a lot to do to try and get to the pay offs
