By Stomp Admin October 6 2009 Gary Cunningham of Cue Here has organised a speakers eveing on Saturday 17th of October to raise funds for the Beatson Clinic.
Stuart Coull, Hugh Burns and Shug Naismith will be the etertainment for the evening.
Tickets are on sale now and are £15 which includes a buffet.
Barney, Stuart Coull was a former English teacher at Airdrie Academy. He is from Northern ireland, and is a superb speaker. He lives in cumbernauld and was involved in the rugby scene for many years, playing for and coaching Waysiders in the early years, before moving to Cumbernauld, and being very involved with their rugby club. I have heard him speak several times at Rugby dinners and he is, as Nick says, absolutely superb. I don't think I heve ever heard him repeat a story twice.
I have seen him at Airdrie games a number of times.
Well worth the admission money alone on the 17th October.
Normally any speakers do i go to sets you back about 20 to 30 quid. This one sounds like a steal . Best speakers i have saw so far is john Robotham and the wee guy from Dundee utd i mentioned earlier.
Surprised the trust havent taken a go at these nights.
