West Lothian AFC 3-2 AS Airdrie

Airdrie lost there final warm up match on a bumpy pitch in Livingston.

West Loathian took the lead from a simple long ball which was picked up by the forward with airdrie's defence static, Rowan parried the shot but a home player was on hand to tap home an easy finish. Airdrie deservedly drew level when kenny Pardoe broke through the home defence turned two defenders in the box and hammered the ball past the keeper from 6 yards. An even contest then turned the home sides way with two horrendous errors, long balls were allowed to bounce and twice west Lothian got in behind to take a 3-1 half time lead.

A much improved second half showing saw Airdrie enjoy long spells of possesion and were always dangerous going forward, despite the loss of Andy Slevin early in the 2nd half airdrie had a good foothold in the game but despite several chances had to wait till 20 minutes from time as shaw was poll axed inside the box kenny pardoe slotted home the penalty. Airdrie had a gamble for the last 15 minutes with a 4-3-3 formation but despite there best efforts and a huge slice of good fortune for the home keeper couldn't nab an equaliser. a well worth exercise as have been all the pre season games but business starts next week with the lague cup getting under way.
