In what has been a nail-biting season for fans throughout the country, it is down to the wire with Ayr battling to secure promotion and Airdrie fighting relegation from the 1st division on Sunday 24 May 2009.To make sure the day is memorable for both sets of fans; the IRN-BRU open top bus will arrive at Excelsior Stadium at 2pm this Sunday.
Supporters will be able to demonstrate their scoring ability on the giant inflatable “kick it” game and enjoy free bottles of IRN-BRU and other merchandise. Fans will also be invited on board to broadcast their thoughts on the 2008 /09 Season in the IRN-BRU Match box, footage of which will then be uploaded to the Phenomenalfooty.com website for all to enjoy.
Martin Steele, Senior Brand Manager for IRN-BRU commented:“In true SFL style, the season has been absolutely enthralling from start to finish and in our second year as sponsor has been just as exciting for IRN-BRU too.
“With only a few games to go, we want loyal fans to know that we are behind their teams in the final promotion and relegation battles and will be at the stadium before, during and after the game to offer some refreshments and to be involved in the party atmosphere.
“In what has been a nail-biting climax to the season, we know the local fans will be out in droves to support their team. We want to make it a day to remember for the town, and would encourage everyone to come along to support their local team and enjoy a great family day out.
“We hope it’s a memorable day for all supporters – win or lose, and wish both teams the best of luck in this final push.”
