AS Airdrie 6-0 Forest

Airdrie get back to winning ways after a comfortable victory at Airdrie Academy. Gary capaldi opened the scoring with a deflected shot after just 5 minutes, Ian Shaw added a second shortly after with a fine solo effort from his own half his initial shot was saved but a poor clearance struck an away player and allowed Shaw to cooly finish from 6 yards. Capaldi got his second after fine play from Neil Pardoe released the stirker in the box, one touch to evade the defender and a nice finish curled past the keeper. Forest were reduced to 10 men at this point taking the offside claims too far. Andy Clark added a double before the break the first a bullet header from a superb cross from Stewart the second a rocket shot from the right edge of the box. half Time 5-0.

Second half saw lots of possesion but little clear cut chances as Forest defended stoutly. Jim Brady got the final goal after kenny pardoe's free kick was parried by the keeper Brady tapped the loose ball past the keeper for his first club goal.
