AS Airdrie 5-0 Windlaw
Airdrie picked up three more valuable points on Monday night with a good win over one of the leagues top sides, a few more bodies were available this time out Gray coming in for Grant in the only change from Saturday.

Stewart Clark Cooper R.Graham
S.Graham Edagr Smith N.Pardoe
K.Pardoe Gray
Windlaw started the stronger and had most of the play in the Airdire half knocking the ball around and playing some nice football, Rowan was untested but Windlaw had a few long range efforts in the opening spell. Airdries first real attack nearly produced a goal as Kenny pardoe broke down the right channel his deep cross found Gray who almost bundle the ball past the keeper via the post but the keeper was able to keep it out and collect the loose ball. Gray was then booked early on for a challenge on the keeper which was ill timed and out of charachter. Airdrie were finding it tough to get up the pitch with the ball coming back every time it was cleared. Against the run of play Airdrie should have taken the lead as Gray broke through the high Windlaw line he was marginally off however the whistle never came and Gray carried on running and squared for Neil Pardoe who had tracked him all the way however the header he missed a few weeks back was bad enough so we'll say no more about this effort! A few minutes later however Airdrie did take the lead a carbon copy of the incident before though this time Gray had timed it right and ignored Neil Pardoe and fired past the keeper.
Into the second half and Airdire were forced into a change with MacFarlane coming on for Clark who was having some back trouble. Airdie doubled the lead from a corner kick, Kenny pardoe's inswinger was met by Edgar who has stole a march on his man and planted an excellent header past the keeper. Windlaw were reduced to 10 men when the left mid miskicked his clearance, Scott Graham nipped in to steal the ball and the frustrated palyer lashed out and brought him crashing down, a straight Red issued, however the ref awarded a penalty when the incident had taken place outside the box which was extremely harsh on Windlaw as kenny Pardoe hammered the spot kick home to effectively end the game. Gray got the fourth and his second when he broke free on the left cut inside rounded the keeper and placed the ball back across into the left hand corner. The scoring was complete when kenny Pardoe found acres of space and squared the ball for MacFarlane to get his customary one a season from a couple of yards out.
Plenty of MOM contenders, again a clean sheet at the back a hard working midfield and three goals from the strikers, Andy Edagr probably just shaded it ahead of Gray and Stewart.
