In truth Raith Rovers dominated large sections of tonights match but for a change Airdrie had lady luck on our side and our solid defence once again stood strong.
Our chances in front of goal were few and far between but the two we did get we took. The first goal came from a long clearance down the middle of the Park from Airdrie goal keeper Stephen Robertson, Alan Russell beat the defence to the ball and headed over Raith keeper Ryan Borris who was caught in to minds. The second six minutes later was virtually a carbon copy, this time Andreoni provided the cross for Russell to head home.
In simple terms we did well tonight and take a two goal league in to the final crunch match, the team need our help as much as we need them to perform well so see you all on Sat.
Come on the Diamonds
