Another way The Stomp could make money would be to charge all users an annual subscripton which would go to the club.

I for one wouldnt grudge paying a subscription and it would probably make the messageboard better because we wouldnt have retards from the likes of Dunfermline, Motherwell and Clydebank spouting a load of $hite, unless of course they pay for it.

That would kill the stomp diamond gaz as you would only get the real hard core posters signing up.

charging nominal fee good in principle.....prob unworkable in practice! accusations of a clique would abound even if they wernt true! we need more people thinking bout airdrie not exclude em!

last thing you would want would be allegations of another closed grouping,got to agree with SWR, should be open and accessible to each and every Airdrie minded person.

I for one am happy to give up a wee bit of spare time to help out with any initiatives that come about, and can be PM'd if anyone needs help with anything.

advertise in advance what u plan to sell,how to access the auction,full details of how it will work.

E mail all airdrie minded people in ur address book and ask them to do the same, if it takes off try and get a piece in the advertiser.

Firstly the Stomp will always remain free for as long as I'm part of it, however I am going to be adding to the site a way to join the Trust online, hopefully in some sort of subscription form that comes straight out of your bank account every year. Eventually you will also be able to buy tickets for the various events online

Some other points for those who are interested and the reasons for some of my decisions concerning the auction.

The reason the Auction is going to be on a Sunday night is simply because I will have constant access to the site, I
simply don't have the time at work to monitor it properly.

I am not touching e-bay with this, basically because I have been asked not to!

This is starting small, so I have time to iron out any problems that may occur and on Sunday night there will only be one item up for grabs. This will be announced tomorrow night and will be Airdrie United related something simple and said item will be the hub of the auction (Basically available every week I hope).

I am not going to be chasing people for money so this is going to be linked straight to paypal, your money will be taken straight away. It will be like a silent auction and if your bid fails your money will be refunded. I make no apologies if this makes it difficult for some people it's the easiest way forward.

The winning bid for the auction will be announced as part of the same thread the auction is linked to, the cash amount does not have to be announced but your name does.

If you don't like the items put up for auction then simply don't bid, no ones forcing you to bid, no ones twisting your arm up your back and although I would hope the items stay among Airdrie fans I really don't care where the money comes from.
