Vs Ross County Match preview
By Stomp Admin March 29 2008
The count down has begun as we head in to the final five matches of the 2007 – 2008 season, will the championship be over and done with by five PM or will the Diamonds do enough to postpone the Staggies celebrations for at least another week.
Once again it looks as though the weather will have a massive part to play in tomorrow’s fixture, a 9:00am pitch inspection is scheduled and hopefully if the rain stays away the match will go ahead.
So what should Kenny do, we know he is without Homer and McDougal. MacDonald and McKenna have been playing though injuries and if there was a bigger squad I’m sure both would be rested should he risk them or give them a break in preparation for the play offs?
Airdrie Vs Ross County
We have played against Ross County in four consecutive seasons and County has the advantage
Airdrie United wins   draws   Ross County wins
League339
FA Cup001
Total3310
In seven home games against them we have only beaten them once and personally I think tomorrow is as good a day as any to improve on that figure and spoil the party.
The majority of fans using the prediction league on the site think we are in for a home win. Is it a case of wishful thinking?
Home Win: 50% 27]
Away Win: 20% [11]
Draw: 29% [16]

And the score lines?

2-1 25% [14]
1-1 22% [12]
Something to consider, most of the fans have accepted that a play of spot may be all we can achieve this season, if that’s true then surely this match should be a no pressure affair, should Kenny experiment? Should he risk a change of tactic and go for a more attacking format?
