The East End

The East End is the true home of Bristol City fans. It used to be occupied by the city faithful and used to be well known for the electric atmosphere it would create. This ended though when the old uncovered end was redeveloped in 1994 to become what is now the Atyeo Stand.
The East End then became the home to the away fans. This has since left Ashton with less of an atmosphere as the acoustics in the Dolman and Atyeo do not allow the same type of atmosphere the East End used to create. It now just allows a coach load of Carlisle supporters can out sing the whole ground.
In recent years the stand has been given back to the city fans but only a few hundred fans took up the chance to go back to the East End. The club have promised that we can have the stand back when the stand is re developed but will it be the same? I think not!!
Best View?
None of the seats have a good view really due six pillars which hold the roof up. The better seats are at the front where you are less affected by the pillars.
Best Block for Atmosphere?
Any block in the east end has a great atmosphere. The high roof gives the stand great acoustics which make any chant ten times louder!!
Worst Seats?
These would be at the back where the view is hindered by the sponsorship hoarding hung from the top of the stand.
