Brothers in arms for Genesis

Leigh Genesis manager Garry Flitcroft has completed his first two major signings of the summer, with the capture of brothers Jamie and Chris Baguley from UniBond Premier League side FC United of Manchester.

23 year old forward Jamie is already a familiar figure with Leigh supporters, having scored both goals, including a long-distance blockbuster, in United's 2-0 win over Genesis at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium in January 2009, the first game to take place at the stadium.

21 year old midfielder Chris spent the tail end of the 2008/09 season in his second spell with FC United of Manchester, having returned from playing in Australia for Mandurah City.

Both players are said to be hugely excited at the prospect of playing for Genesis and manager Garry Flitcroft, and we hope both will feel hugely welcome at the club and wish them the very best of luck.
