Lairds have undergone a dramatic few weeks, with the departure of management team Kenny McKenna and Neil Young seeing off-field reorganisation with senior players Derek Ward and Ian Cooke taking over at Kirklands, with the change in direction seeing the Wirral side colecting an impressive 3-2 win at Witton Albion, whilst a point from a 2-2 draw with Whitby at the weekend leaving them level on points with eighteenth placed Buxton, albeit still in the relegation zone.
Leigh's only previous visit to Kirklands was for a pre-season fixture last summer, with then-manager Stuart Humphreys choosing to blood a number of players on the fringes of the first team, with a second half Phil Charnock equaliser sealing a 1-1 draw.
Bleasdale's main injury concern surrounds striker Matt Berkeley, who is set to spend a long period on the sidelines after injuring his collarbone in a collision at Buxton that led to Jordan Stepien missing a Leigh penalty, although Jerome Watt is close to full fitness after picking up a hamstring injury in the recent 1-0 win at Marine.
Lairds, in their first season at this level, field a trio of ex-Leigh players, with Lee Atherton and Sean Ferguson joined by Thomas Rooney, although the latter never actually made an appearance for the Leythers.
Kick off is at 7.45pm at Kirklands, situated in the Rock Ferry area of Wirral, with all support as vital to inspire the lads to victory.
