Chris Holland
Holland began his career with Preston North End but, after just one league appearance at Deepdale, was snapped up by Premier League giants Newcastle United for £100,000, spending two years at St. James' Park before an impressive loan spell with Birmingham City led to a permanent £600,000 move. Holland spent four seasons at St. Andrew's before a £100,000 move to Huddersfield Town, a four year spell in West Yorkshire ending with a free transfer to Boston United during their Football League days, with the York Street club ironically one of the sides that will face Leigh Genesis in the UniBond Premier League next season.
Holland joins Leigh Genesis on a part-time contract, training with his new team-mates for the first time this week and sure to prove a valuable addition to an exciting squad, with Holland's experience likely to be of huge benefit to a largely youthful Leythers side, with Leigh Genesis manager Steve Bleasdale "made up" to be signing another of his long-term targets.
