Match secretary moves on

Leigh Genesis match secretary Alan Greenhalgh has resigned from his position at the club to take up a full secretarial role with North West Counties League neighbours Ashton Athletic, a side defeated by Leigh in last season's Co-Operative Challenge Trophy.

Greenhalgh took up his role at Hilton Park in the latter stages of the 2007/08 season, fulfilling matchday duties along with other secretarial work.

With the club gearing themselves for an administration largely taken care of by their full time employees, Greenhalgh has chosen to move with the club's full blessing and good wishes to a more involving role at Brocstedes Park.
