Another familiar face next season

Scott Willis
By Matt Lawton
June 11 2008
After the revelation earlier in the week that Leigh will be coming up against former strikers Steve Brodie and Steve Burton in the UniBond Premier League next season, another of the club's ex-players has joined one of the Leythers' league rivals for next season.

After making twenty one appearances and one goal for the club last season, midfielder Scott Willis has ended his second spell at Hilton Park by joining UniBond Premier League rivals Witton Albion as the twenty six year old continues to move around the non-league circuit after previous spells with Stalybridge, AFC Telford United and Droylsden.

Willis becomes Albion's first signing since their defeat in last season's promotion play-offs, the Cheshire outfit apparently beating off competition from Blue Square North side Southport for his signature.

Fondly remembered for a successful first spell at Hilton Park, Willis is sure to be given a good reception when he comes up against his former employers next season.
