Field day for RMI

By Matt Lawton May 20 2008
In a busy day of transfer dealings, Steve Bleasdale continued his preparations for the new UniBond Premier League season with the signing of enthusiastic midfielder Tom Field from local rivals Vauxhall Motors, the club's second signing of the day.

Field, a former Everton trainee, joins the club after making fifty four Conference North appearances for Vauxhall Motors over the past two seasons, scoring five goals in what has been a tough period for the Ellesmere Port side after making two appearances for Southport in the past after previous spells with Stalybridge Celtic and alongside one-time RMI man Thomas Rooney at Welsh side TNS when they faced Liverpool in a Champions' League qualifier.

The signing comes hot on the heels of the signature of left-sided man Alex Mortimer earlier in the day and the full-time signings of Richard Chetcuti, Jonathan Goulding and ex-Northwich Victoria defender Josh Wilson earlier in the week.

Welcome to the club, Tom.
