Josh Wilson
The commitment shown by chairman, manager and ultimately the players themselves illustrates the desire and commitment to the cause of everyone involved as RMI look to take advantage of their new start at their dazzling Leigh Sports Village home and take the UniBond Premier League by storm next season.
Two of the club's most promising young players, Jonathan Goulding and Richard Chetcuti, have committed themselves to full-time contracts for next season, and they will be joined by twenty year old defender Josh Wilson, who has arrived at RMI after making twenty one appearances for Blue Square Premier side Northwich Victoria last season.
Former Blackpool starlet Goulding, who first appeared as a right back for RMI in October 2007 before going on to cement a place in the heart of the midfield, was presented with both the Manager's Player of the Year and Player's Player of the Year awards at the end of last season after making twenty eight league appearances.
Chetcuti, meanwhile, represents the beacon of RMI's flourishing youth development system, becoming an established first team player after climbing through the club's youth ranks, culminating in being awarded the title of "Most Promising Young Player" at the end of season awards. A former England Schoolboy international, Chetcuti has a bright future in the game, illustrated by his appearance in the final five candidates of Sky's "Football Icon" programme in 2005, whereby the winner was to be awarded a contract with Premier League giants Chelsea.
Completing the trio is defender Josh Wilson (pictured), who featued alongside the likes of Brad Maylett, Cayne Hanley, Michael Byrne and RMI legend Dino Maamria in twenty one starting appearances for Blue Square Premier side Northwich Victoria last season, some of which were in the centre of midfield, where the adaptable Wilson is equally at home.
All three players have proved that they have what it takes to succeed at a higher level, having demonstrated their desire to improve their skills and fitness levels by entering into the Club's brand new comprehensive training regime which will not only utilise the coaching talents of UEFA pro Bleasdale, but also specialist running coaches, sports science systems and modern gym equipment.
