Steve Bleasdale's side go in to the game with a huge amount of confidence after last weekend's fully deserved 1-0 home victory over Alfreton Town, with Brad Maylett the Leigh hero with his second goal in consecutive games.
Hosts Harrogate Town, seemingly out of the automatic promotion picture with a twelve point deficit to make up on leaders Kettering, are starting to look anxiously over their shoulders at their play-off challengers, with Town just three points ahead of sixth placed Southport after last weekend's surprising 3-1 defeat to strugglers Solihull Moors.
Former Wigan Athletic striker James Dunn, signed earlier in the month from Blue Square North rivals Burscough, is in line to make his Leigh RMI debut at Harrogate Town after missing the win over ALfreton Town with a shoulder injury, although Richard Chetcuti, Gavin Salmon and Mark Smyth all performed admirably last weekend, so Dunn's possible selection is far from a foregone conclusion.
Leigh's last visit to Wetherby Road was in December 2006 when Steve Settle scored a first half goal, only for the impressive John Lamb to be finally beaten by Harrogate striker Danny Holland, leaving the clubs tied 1-1 in the FA Trophy, though Leigh went on to win the Hilton Park replay.
The return fixture this season came in late August at Hilton Park when then-league leaders Harrogate barely needed to get out of second gear to secure a comfortable 2-0 victory, with the Leigh faithful hoping for a better result on Saturday afternoon.
