Leigh RMI vs. Alfreton Town preview

By Matt Lawton March 14 2008
Mid-table Alfreton Town are Saturday's visitors to Hilton Park for an important Blue Square North encounter, with supporters once again able to gain admission for reduced prices as RMI look for increased support from the terraces.

Adults can gain admittance to Hilton Park for just £7, £3 cheaper than the usual price, while students or OAP's cost £4 and under 16's can see the game for just £1. Also, in an unprecedented move by the club, they will be offering RMI season ticket holders the chance to bring along a guest to the game for just £1, with another healthy Leigh support expected to lend their support to their local team.

Visitors Alfreton visit Leigh in a safe mid-table position after losing 3-1 at Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday, though they put strugglers Vauxhall Motors to the sword with an emphatic 4-0 victory the previous Saturday, putting behind them the turmoil of manager Nicky Law's reported defection to Bradford Park Avenue, something that has since been quashed.

RMI weren't in action in midweek but find themselves nine points adrift of safety and fourth bottom Hucknall Town, although Steve Bleasdale's side do have a game in hand on the Nottinghamshire outfit.

Bleasdale's selection options have been boosted with the midweek signing of striker James Dunn from Blue Square North rivals Burscough, though midfielder Robin Gibson misses the first of a four match suspension picked up after collecting several previous bookings and his sending off against Southport in the Co-Operative Challenge Trophy last week.

Kick off at Hilton Park is at 3pm, get yourself down there and get behind the lads!
